Cougari Plush Prototype With Images

Good people! I have the images of my prototype. I didn't want to post them until I had a 100% go ahead on it, but I can't wait. I'm anxious and well, I just want make sure EVERYONE who said they were on board is on board. This is a big step, and I am VERY pleased with the result.

Without further blathering...

I present...

COUGARI in Plush form

I STRESS this is not the final. All she's missing is her heart pads and a few touchups as well as her tags, ear and tush, which I have to design.





My stomach is in KNOTS over this. I love it, but I'm afraid no one else will. Its unique and different, and for a 3D rendering of my work, its damn good!

Sketchdumps and YOU! Pt. 2

It has been quite some time since my last update, so much so that I have quite a backlog of sketches and works to show you!

SO I'll just get straight to the point!

Notes: What you're about to see is a collection of sketches that I've been hording. I've taken only the best of the best here people!! There in the lower left you see a sketch of Cougari, Kipper and Goldenrodfox all dressed as characters and styled in the amusing and whimsical style of A Pup Named Scooby Doo. It was one of my favorite cartoons growing up and I'm sure one of yours if you think back.

Notes: Here are some more sketches. There are a pair of foxes sitting on a rock wall there that I'd like to talk about. The characters names are Goldenrod Fox and Orla. They are absolutely adorable together. It started as a sketch that I inked in open canvas 1.1, as seen in the center. Below you'll see the final product.

Notes: This is the final version of the sketch and inks above. This is one of the first and only pieces fully colored in open canvas.

Notes: Here's a bunch of sketches I did over the last few weeks. You'll see a few styles that I tried out for fun. A Pup Named Scooby Doo and Pound Puppies are shows that I miss profoundly. Thank goodness for DVDs. These were mostly drawn on ustream over the past few days! ENJOY more below.

Notes: A running joke in all of my UStream sessions is that I don't like to draw pants. I feel like pants waste time for so many things. There are some sketches of a fox character named Orla who has effectively become a member of my 'ragbag'. I have been trying to get the feeling behind her. Also Pound Puppies is love. I drew a bunch of sketches of Cooler.

Notes:Above are more ustream sketches. I think I was trying to practice more drawing multiple characters in the same image. There are a few up there that are like that. More playing with that Hanna-Barbera style and drawings for friends above as well!

Notes: More sketches. The Rhino is for a contest on Don Bluth Animation's Message Board. I have never drawn a Rhino before and god knows I tried really hard. There are some more sketches of Orla, just trying to get a feeling for her. Some other sketches of my friends character's wearing suits.

Notes: Yes, there were 8 more of these prior to this and if you’re good little bloggers, I’ll post em up. Anyway, to the sketches. I have been doing a lot of UstreamTV lately. On there I sketch, and the people that come to watch me, who are the best in the world, ask me to put them all together. Some of them never see color, some of them do. Either way, you get to see what it looks like rough.

The first image in the top left was drawn using a picture drawn by another artist, Evana Love, as reference, just in case people ask about it. I did it for funsies, with no malice or intent to harm reputations. It was FUN.

Other than that little disclaimer the rest of them are pretty self explanitory. ENJOY THEM!

Notes: The sketches in the green are of a friend of mine named Betsy’s character. I draw a lot of inspiration from her. Her style is so lively and fun, I hope that I captured her well. The rest are pretty self explanitory. I’ve been really trying to think a bit more expressively lately.

A Cougar Likes Movies

Notes: Just as the image suggests, I delve into a style that has greatly inspired me. Don Bluth. This guy is a genius. His art is rough and smooth at the same time. His style is simple and complex at the same time. It makes me stare in awe and wonder if I could have ever been a part of that era in animation. Anyway, if you know me you know I love styles, I can't help but TRY to emulate that style.

Notes: Yes, I like Star Wars. I like light sabers. I like Jedi and Sith, I like Wookies and Cathar. Don't judge me. Anyway, I wanted to draw my character dressed as a Jedi. Her light saber is named Cosmo and when she turns it on instead of the usual hum that a light saber makes it sounds like this "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE". << That is a running joke for my friend Greg who built me a light saber, which is awesome. I know, I know...You're jealous. Just try not to hate me too much.
